Beauty and the Beast

Dress Rehearsal for Beauty and the Beast (2023)

I auditioned for Beauty and the Beast (2023) in May of my ninth grade year with little to no experience acting on stage. With my family and friends to support me, I was given the opportunity to play the lead role, Belle, for the Spring musical.

I spent hours rehearsing my lines with my best friend, who played the Beast. I was privileged to be able to take vocal lessons from a music store nearby, and it was here that I learned about how to sing in musical theater. I learned about articulating specific words and bringing passion into the lyrics that I sang.
